The illam Flavors was born out of a simple longing - the taste of home. Every jar of pickle and every bag of chips we make follows recipes passed down through generations in Kerala, prepared fresh in small batches back home and shipped straight to your doorstep in Toronto.
No artificial preservatives, no shortcuts : just sun-ripened mangoes, hand-ground spices, farm-fresh jackfruit and bananas, and a whole lot of care. The illam Flavors is a family business run by a Malayali family from Kerala who made Toronto home. Like so many who've made that same move, we found ourselves missing the pickles, podis and chips we grew up with more than almost anything else. So we set out to bring those genuine, traditional flavors from Kerala straight to our community here, making the taste of home accessible right here in Toronto.
